Studies on the occurrence, etiology and vector transmissibility of phyllody of rape
Lehmann, W.; Skadow, K., 1971: Studies on the occurrence, etiology and vector transmissibility of phyllody of rape. Archiv fur Pflanzenschutz 7(5): 323-336
Green petal (or phyllody) of rape was observed frequently in East Germany in 1968-69. Symptoms of the disease, and its occurrence in the Cottbus district, are described. In laboratory tests, the Cicadellid Euscelis plebeja (Fall.) transmitted the disease from naturally infected rape plants to plants of several other species, which reacted with symptoms of clover dwarf. The causal agent of clover phyllody was transmitted by the same vector to rape plants.
