Studies on the oestrus inhibiting effect of methallibure in rats and pigs

, : Studies on the oestrus inhibiting effect of methallibure in rats and pigs. VIIth International Congress on Animal Reproduction and Artificial Insemination, Munich, 1972, Summaries: 198

Based on their observations, the authors conclude that methallibure acts on the hypothalamus, reducing FSH-RF and LH-RF activities and consequently blocking the release of FSH and LH from the pituitary gland into the blood.
