, : Studies on the optimum harvest dates for Italian ryegrass and clover/grass in relation to dairy cattle feeding. Kieler Milchwirtschaftliche Forschungsberichte 24(3): 303-343

In field trials in 1967-71, Italian ryegrass was cut at (a) early earing, (b) early flowering or (c) the end of flowering. A clover/grass mixture (red clover/alsike clover/timothy/meadow fescue sown in 1967, or red clover/Italian ryegrass/meadow fescue sown in 1968-71) was cut at (a) the clover-bud stage, (b) clover flowering or (c) at the end of flowering.
