, : Studies on the outbreak of equine influenza in Japan in 1971: Virus isolation. Experimental Reports of Equine Health Laboratory (9): 35-43

Nine strains of equine influenza virus were isolated from the nasopharyngeal secretion of febrile horses by amniotic inoculation of 8-day-old chick embryos. They were identified with antisera to A/equi 2/Miami/63 virus.
