Studies on the pathogens of huanglungping (citrus yellow shoot disease). I. A threadlike virus particle associated with huanglungping

, : Studies on the pathogens of huanglungping (citrus yellow shoot disease). I. A threadlike virus particle associated with huanglungping. Scientia Sinica 16(3): 431-446

Hollow thread-like particles of fine structure resembling that of filamentous viruses were isolated from the leaves of infected citrus trees of several types. Experiments with indicator plants revealed that these particles were related to yellow shoot disease and might be causal. Certain rod-like particles found in diseased and apparently healthy plants were not pathogenic.
