Studies on the pathogens of mulberry dwarf disease. I. Viruslike particles and mycoplasmalike bodies associated with mulberry yellow dwarf disease

, : Studies on the pathogens of mulberry dwarf disease. I. Viruslike particles and mycoplasmalike bodies associated with mulberry yellow dwarf disease. Scientia Sinica 17(3): 421-427

Thread-like particles 110-130 A diam. were isolated from mulberry trees infected with yellow dwarf disease. They fractured during isolation, measuring 6000-7000 A in length. Coexistent with the flexuous particles, but in very much smaller amounts, was a virus-like rod, diam. 200-240 A. Mycoplasma-like organisms were also observed in the ultrathin sections of diseased trees.
