, : Studies on the pathology of dicrocoeliasis and fascioliasis in the goat. I. The histopathology of the liver and bile ducts. II. The histochemistry of bile-duct mucosubstances. III. The histochemistry of mast cells and globule leucocytes. Acta Veterinaria Scandinavica 13(4): 554-562; 563-574; 575-584

In both infections the bile-duct walls showed glandular hyperplasia, increased frequency of goblet cells and globule leucocytes, and extensive fibrosis in the outer layers. The desquamation produced by Dicrocoelium dendritiaum remained superficial, whereas Fasciola hepatica caused deep erosions in the walls of the main bile ducts. The bile duct walls did not become calcified.

The choledochochole-dochal (duct-duct, D-D) anastomosis in orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) is usually splinted by a T-tube to facilitate easy cholangiography, monitor bile quality and allow biliary decompression. T-tubes, however, are a foc...

DT-1g, a symptomless coat-protein-free TMV mutant was used to induced a high degree of cross-protection (about 90%) against U1 strain in samsun tobacco. This mutant spreads slowly from cell to cell, so that it is difficult to have all cells infect...

Pheomelanins, the typical epidermal pigments of red haired, Celtic-type Caucasians, arise from oxidative cyclization of cysteinyldopas, mainly the 5-S-isomer CD, via 1,4-benzothiazines. However, the mechanism and the relative yields of formation o...

We showed that the drug sensitivity of multidrug-resistant (MDR) cells could be enhanced by fractionated irradiation. The molecular changes associated with fractionated radiation-induced chemosensitization were characterized. Irradiated cells of t...

Here, we report a strong positive correlation between the percentage of CD1...
