Studies on the penetration and movement of herbicides

, : Studies on the penetration and movement of herbicides. Studies on the penetration and movement of herbicides: 126

The patterns of movement of 14C-labelled 2,4-D and assimilates (derived from 14CO2) in wheat at the 2- to 4- and 5- to 6-leaf stages were compared. Lower leaves exported more to the roots than did upper leaves. At the 5- to 6-leaf stage assimilates moved into the roots from the lower leaves more readily than did 2,4-D.
