Studies on the performance of laying hens and broiler chickens fed low doses of tetrachlorvinphos

, : Studies on the performance of laying hens and broiler chickens fed low doses of tetrachlorvinphos. Pesticide Science 4(5): 753-757

The effects of moderate to low doses of tetrachlorvinphos on egg production in hens and growth in broiler chickens were studied. Dosages of 0, 50 and 500 mg tetrachlorvinphos/kg bodyweight were fed to laying hens for 12 or 13 weeks. No adverse effects of the treatment on egg production, egg and yolk weight, egg viability, shell thickness, weight of hen or food consumption were observed.
