Studies on the phenotypic polymorphism of Musca domestica L
Cheema, A.A.; Naqvi, S.N.H., 1973: Studies on the phenotypic polymorphism of Musca domestica L. Pakistan Journal of Scientific and Industrial Research 16(1/2): 32-34
House-flies (Musca domestica L.) caught in Pakistan were examined by binocular microsope for phenotypic polymorhism. No polymorphism was observed in wild-caught flies or in those from a laboratory culture. However, the breeding of single pairs of flies yielded a very few aberrant characters in the F1 generation and a large number, which were of spontaneous origin, in the F2 generation.
