Studies on the physical characteristics of buffalo spermatozoa: a note

, : Studies on the physical characteristics of buffalo spermatozoa: a note. Indian Journal of Animal Sciences 42(5): 336-339

Spermatozoa from semen samples from 2 bulls of each of 4 breeds were studied under an interference microscope. Refractive index, thickness, dry matter content and dry mass were estimated for both head and midpiece of 6-7 normal spermatozoa/sample. Variations between males of the same breed were non-significant, as were variations between breeds for measurements on sperm heads.
