Studies on the physiological characteristics of rice. A comparative study of stomatal behaviour, transpiration, evapotranspiration and moisture extraction patterns between first and second rice crops

, : Studies on the physiological characteristics of rice. A comparative study of stomatal behaviour, transpiration, evapotranspiration and moisture extraction patterns between first and second rice crops. Journal of the Agricultural Association of China (78): 17-25

Daily variations in stomatal aperture were similar in both 1st and 2nd crops of rice Taichung 65, but transpiration was affected by meteorological factors. Evapotranspiration in the 1st crop was affected mainly by evaporation, but that of the 2nd was affected mainly by leaf number. Roots of 1st and 2nd crops reached a depth of 100 and 50 cm, respectively.
