Studies on the physiological races of Pyricularia oryzae (1970-72)

, : Studies on the physiological races of Pyricularia oryzae (1970-72). Journal of Taiwan Agricultural Research Nung yeh Yen chiu 23(1): 16-37

Using 16 differential varieties, 537 isolates collected over three years were classified into five groups of races. Of 112 rice varieties studied only Tai-chung-shih indica 165, Tai-chung-shih 183, A Ai-chiao-chien Pai-mi-fen Kaohsiung-hsuan 1 and Taichung 186 were strongly resistant to the major races on Taiwan. Isolates collected from several areas in Taiwan were classified into 5 groups based on inoculation tests.
