Studies on the physiology of Philippine mint (Mentha cordifolia Opiz). II. Effect of two different light intensities on the vegetative growth and oil yield

, : Studies on the physiology of Philippine mint (Mentha cordifolia Opiz). II. Effect of two different light intensities on the vegetative growth and oil yield. Philippine Journal of Science 103(1): 13-19

Light intensities used in an attempt to induce flowering were (A) 25% of that outdoors (normal greenhouse light intensity) and (B) 2% of that outdoors. The plant did not flower after 35 days of treatment but data on vegetative growth and oil yield were collected. In general, the plant responded more favourably to A than to B.
