Studies on the phytotoxicity of three herbicides in young orchards of stone fruit trees

, : Studies on the phytotoxicity of three herbicides in young orchards of stone fruit trees. Compte Rendu 6e Conference du Comite Francais de Lutte contre les Mauvaises Herbes COLUMA: 133-140

In trials designed to assess the toxicity of bromacil at 1.6 to 12.8 kg/ha to newly planted trees of 4 stone fruit species, foliar symptoms appeared in cherry and apricot at the lowest rates while reduced vigour occurred only from 3.2 kg/ha in apricot and plum and still higher rates in peach. In similar trials bromacil, chlorthiamid and benzodiuron (composition not stated) at 2 and 4 kg/ha were applied to young rootstocks.
