Ahn, S.B.; Youn, K.B.; Song, J.D., 1973: Studies on the planting of sprouted potatoes in paddy fields before rice culture and fertilizer application in the following rice crop. Research Reports of the Office of Rural Development, Crop 15: 55-60
In trials in 1969-70, rice alone given 80 or 100 kg N + 50 kg P2O5 + 60 kg K2O/ha or potatoes followed by rice given 40-100 kg N, 0 or 50 kg P2O5 + 0 or 60 kg K2O/ha were grown in paddy fields. The highest yield of potato tubers was given by planting sprouted tubers in nursery beds in mid-Mar. and transplanting to the field about 1 Apr. and when harvested on 15 June, transplanted crops gave 66% higher yields than direct-planted crops.
