Studies on the pollination of Koroser Weichsel sour cherry by some sweet and sour cherry varieties

, : Studies on the pollination of Koroser Weichsel sour cherry by some sweet and sour cherry varieties. Jugoslovensko Vocarstvo 1972; 5(17/18): 173 - 178

In the Vojvodina region Koroser Weichsel is self-sterile and produces a good crop only by open pollination at moderate temperatures. High temperatures during flowering retarded fertilization, resulting in greatly reduced yields, whereas during sharp temperature fluctuations the surviving flowers showed a high percentage of fruit set.
