Studies on the population dynamics of Diaphorina citri (Kuway) and the flushing rhythm of citrus

, : Studies on the population dynamics of Diaphorina citri (Kuway) and the flushing rhythm of citrus. Philippine Journal of Plant Industry 39(1): 37-52

Citrus growth patterns in the Bicol area did not follow the reported growth cycles of other citrus growing regions of the world. Citrus cvs in Bicol produced flushes throughout the year, which fluctuated unevenly with 2 recognizable peaks per year. These patterns did not seem to be regulated by abiotic factors of temperature and moisture. The citrus trees recovered rapidly from adverse effects of violent climatic disturbances like typhoons.
