Studies on the presence of adenosine cyclic 3':5'-monophosphate in oat coleoptiles
Ownby, J.D.; Ross, C.W., 1975: Studies on the presence of adenosine cyclic 3':5'-monophosphate in oat coleoptiles. Plant Physiology 55(2): 346-351
In sub-apical segments of oat coleoptiles, <0.06% of 14C from adenosine-8-14C taken up by the segments migrated as adenosine cyclic 3',5'-monophosphate (cyclic AMP) during electrophoresis. Treatment with cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase or deamination with NaNO2 suggested that only a small fraction of the 14C was in cyclic AMP. Treatment with IAA did not increase the amount of cyclic AMP present.
