Studies on the preservation of Jersey bull semen at room temperature

, : Studies on the preservation of Jersey bull semen at room temperature. Indian Journal of Animal Sciences 43(11): 965-968

Split samples of semen from 3 Jersey bulls were diluted in coconut milk extender (CME) or in a Russian diluent and stored at room temp. (20 deg -28 deg C). Samples were examined initially and at 24-h intervals for 7 days; data are tabulated. In both diluents, sperm motility of more than or equal to 60% was maintained till day 4 and a percentage of live spermatozoa of more than or equal to 60% was maintained till day 7.
