Studies on the prevalence of endogenous type C virus RD 114 in cats

, : Studies on the prevalence of endogenous type C virus RD 114 in cats. Proceedings of the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine. Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine 145(3): 757-762

Sixteen virus-free cultures of normal and tumorous cells from nine cats were found to contain 'hidden' RD114-like viruses. These viruses could be activated by the application of 5-iododeoxyuridine.
