Studies on the production of Mexican wheats in kharif

, : Studies on the production of Mexican wheats in kharif. Current Research 3(11): 146-147

In an experiment in 1968, increase of the rate of applied fertilizer N from 0 to 144 kg/ha increased grain yields of the Mexican wheat Lerma Roja and S-227 grown under irrigation from 1.14 and 1.6 to 2.62 and 2.75 t/ha, respectively. In 1969 a sowing rate of 96 kg seed/ha in Lerma Rojo gave grain yields of 2.82, 3.29 and 3.23 t/ha and one of 144 kg/ha gave 2.74, 3.05 and 3.26 t/ha at 96, 144 and 192 kg N/ha, respectively.
