Studies on the production relations of deciduous forests of semi-arid zone of Rajasthan (India): plant biomass and net production of Soymida febrifuga Juss

, : Studies on the production relations of deciduous forests of semi-arid zone of Rajasthan (India): plant biomass and net production of Soymida febrifuga Juss. Biologia, Czechoslovakia, A 28(7): 499-506

Analysis of 20 trees from the Aravalli hills, of 11 different girth classes and with 9 to 61 growth rings, showed clear positive correlations between girth and number of growth rings, tree height, total biomass and photosynthetic area. Net aerial biomass was 5.8 X 103 kg/ha. M.a.i. of the stem + branch biomass reached a peak between growth rings 18 and 20.
