Another report in this series on the biomass production of different species characteristic of the dry deciduous forests of Rajasthan (cf. FA 35, 4277, 5937, 6744). S. swietenioides is a major component of the forest near Udaipur already described twenty trees from the area, having 9 to 51 growth rings and varying in g.b.h. from ca. 18 to ca. 63 cm, were analysed.
