Studies on the productivity and quality of a new HYV, IR667

, : Studies on the productivity and quality of a new HYV, IR667. Journal of the Institute for Agricultural Research Utilization (6): 55-59

5 rice lines Suwon Nos 213, 214, 216, 217 and 218 selected from IR667, were compared with Kimmaze for productivity and Norin 6 for quality. Yields of IR667 lines, except Suwon 216, exceeded those of Kimmaze by 8-21%. Growing plants at 2 or 3 seedlings/hill had no effect on yields. Suwon 213 had a high milling percentage, whereas the other had more broken grains than Kimmaze.
