Studies on the rate and time of top dressing nitrogen for rice var. Jaya

, : Studies on the rate and time of top dressing nitrogen for rice var. Jaya. Agricultural Journal of Kerala 10(2): 80-85

Rice Jaya grown on sandy clay acid soil (pH 5.5) was given a basal dressing of 3.6 t f.y.m. + 50 kg P2O5 + 50 kg K2O/ha, and 60 kg N/ha at transplanting was applied to treatments given a top-dressing of 15 or 30 kg N/ha at (a) active tillering, (b) primordia initiation and/or (c) the boot leaf stage.
