Studies on the rate of milk flow in dairy animals

, : Studies on the rate of milk flow in dairy animals. Annual Report 1971, National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal: 37-38

Data were recorded (3 milkings/day for 3 days in cows, 2 milkings/day for 4 days in buffaloes) for 75 Tharparkar, 102 Sahiwal, 23 Red Sindhi, 43 crossbred Brown Swiss and 38 Murrah buffalo cows. Milking rate averaged 0.76 plus or minus 0.02, 0.70 plus or minus 0.01, 0.49 plus or minus 0.01, 0.49 plus or minus 0.01 and 0.46 plus or minus 0.01 kg/min for buffaloes, crossbreds, Red Sindhis, Sahiwals and Tharparkars resp.
