Studies on the reactions of wheat to soil fungi. III. The reactions of winter-wheat varieties and breeding lines to the activities of pathogenic soil fungi
Bojarczuk, M., 1974: Studies on the reactions of wheat to soil fungi. III. The reactions of winter-wheat varieties and breeding lines to the activities of pathogenic soil fungi. Hodowla Roslin, Aklimatyzacja i Nasiennictwo 18(4): 257-272
In two successive years, plants of up to 50 varieties and lines were grown both in sterile soil and in soil carrying a natural mixture of unspecified pathogenic fungi. Data are tabulated on their germination and overwintering successes, the number of fertile tillers per plant, plant height, grain yield and 1000-grain weight in both environments. With regard to each of these qualities, a few varieties performed better in infected than in sterile soil.
