Studies on the reason for differential transmissibility of cauliflower mosaic virus isolates by aphids

, : Studies on the reason for differential transmissibility of cauliflower mosaic virus isolates by aphids. Phytopathology 63(7): 910-914

The failure to obtain transmission of certain isolates of cauliflower mosaic virus (CMV) in laboratory studies in Kentucky in which Myzus persicae (Sulz.) was used as the vector and mustard plants (Brassica perviridis) as the source of inoculum could not be attributed to low virus concentrations in the entire leaves or epidermal cells available to the aphids.

Presently we describe, for the first time, induction of microsomal heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) mRNA and protein in response to ischemia/reperfusion and therefore define HO-1 as stress protein in the kidney. Specifically, Northern blot analysis of kidn...

Objective: Familial vulnerability to attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has been shown to be related to atypical prefrontal activity during cognitive control tasks. However, ADHD is associated with deficits in the cerebellum as well a...
