Studies on the reclamation of overburden dumps with a high marl rubble content from brown coal opencast mining

, : Studies on the reclamation of overburden dumps with a high marl rubble content from brown coal opencast mining. Archiv fur Acker und Pflanzenbau und Bodenkunde 19(7): 465-474

From trials in 1963-8 on overburden dumps resulting from opencast mining of brown coal in which the results of following crops of lucerne, cocksfoot or cereals with potatoes, oats or legumes were compared, it was concluded that best yields and greatest soil improvement were obtained with lucerne and cocksfoot in a 3-year rotation.
