Studies on the regional histology and histochemistry of the ductus epididymidis in male buffalo calves

, : Studies on the regional histology and histochemistry of the ductus epididymidis in male buffalo calves. Indian Veterinary Journal 48(11): 1118-1123

In twelve male buffalo calves 1-1/2 years old, mean cross-sectional area and the epithelial height of the duct increased from head to tail. The epithelium in the head region varied from simple columnar to pseudostratified epithelium, while it was pseudostratified in the body and tail of the epididymis. The epithelial stereocilia reacted to PAS and alkaline phosphatase tests.
