Studies on the relationship between the lipoprotein lipase and plasma- and membrane-lipases of bovine milk

, : Studies on the relationship between the lipoprotein lipase and plasma- and membrane-lipases of bovine milk. XIX International Dairy Congress 1E: 350-351

Lipoprotein lipase isolated from milk had hydrolysed tributyrin (normally considered to be characteristic of lipase) as well as serum-activated triglyceride emulsions. Lipoprotein lipase activity and tributyrin-hydrolysing activity could not be separated by fractionation or chromatography on agarose gel, or distinguished by their stabilities or their reaction to an antibody against highly-purified skim-milk lipoprotein lipase.
