Studies on the relative efficiency of fertilizer nitrogen with and without nitrification inhibitors on IR8 rice

, : Studies on the relative efficiency of fertilizer nitrogen with and without nitrification inhibitors on IR8 rice. Andhra Agricultural JournalPubl 1974; 19(5/6): 139-143

In trials on sandy loam soil with rice given 100 kg/ha each of P2O5 and K2O, effectiveness of the application of 100 kg N/ha as sulphur-coated urea at puddling in increasing paddy yields was similar to that of the application of 150-200 kg N/ha as urea in 3 split dressings (50% at puddling, 25% at 30 days after transplanting and 25% at the panicle initiation stage).
