Studies on the replication of reticuloendotheliosis virus: detection of viral-specific DNA sequences in infected chick cells

, : Studies on the replication of reticuloendotheliosis virus: detection of viral-specific DNA sequences in infected chick cells. Virology 65(2): 436-445

The replication of reticuloendotheliosis virus, in chronically infected chick embryo fibroblasts, was sensitive to cytosine arabinoside, an inhibitor of DNA synthesis, an actinomycin D, and inhibitor of DNA-dependent RNA synthesis. It was concluded that this replication proceeded through a DNA provirus intermediate.
