Studies on the response of a dwarf and a tall variety of wheat to levels of micronutrients. II. Effect of copper molybdenum, boron and mixture of micronutrients

, : Studies on the response of a dwarf and a tall variety of wheat to levels of micronutrients. II. Effect of copper molybdenum, boron and mixture of micronutrients. Indian Journal of Agricultural Research 8(3): 139-144

Results of a pot experiment indicated that foliar application of copper at 5.2 kg/ha increased the growth, yield and phosphorus content of both dwarf and tall wheats, but the effects were more pronounced in the latter. Application of molybdenum and boron was ineffective whereas that of a mixture of micronutrients depressed the yield. Application of boron or a mixture of micronutrients favourably affected protein and phosphorus contents of both varieties.
