Studies on the role of applied phosphorus and potash on the uptake of nutrients by a legume crop (Co. 1. lab-lab) planted at different spacings

, : Studies on the role of applied phosphorus and potash on the uptake of nutrients by a legume crop (Co. 1. lab-lab) planted at different spacings. Agricultural Research Journal of Kerala 10(2): 75-79

In trials on red loam acid soil (pH 5.8) given a basal dressing of lime + 5.6 t f.y.m. + 10 kg N/ha, Lablab niger was grown at a spacing of 15, 25 or 35 cm in rows 40 cm apart and was given 4 P2O5 levels (0, 25, 50 or 75 kg/ha) and 3 K2O levels (0, 15 or 30 kg/ha). Increasing rates of P2O5 increased N and P contents of pods and haulms. Increasing rates of K2O increased P contents. N contents increased with 15 kg K2O/ha.
