Infusion of guinea-pig small intestine with a combination of histamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine 5 to 9 days after infection with 2,000 Trichostrongylus colubriformis infective larvae led to expulsion of a significant number of worms. Infusion with either amine alone during this period, or with both amines during the first 7 days, or from days 8 to 12 was ineffective.
