Studies on the role of insects in cotton boll black rot occurrence

, : Studies on the role of insects in cotton boll black rot occurrence. Journal of Taiwan Agricultural Research 18(1): 78-82

Experiments were carried out in Taiwan in which examples of Dysdercus cingulatus F. (megalopygus Bredd.) were allowed to make contact with germinating spores of Diplodia gossypina, the causal agent of cotton-boll black rot, while examples of Pectinophora gossypiella (Saund.) and Earias vittella (F.) (fabia (Stoll)) were sprayed with a suspension of the spores.
