Studies on the selectivity of action of preparations containing fenitrothion and dichlorvos on the natural enemies of the beetroot aphid Aphis fabae Scop
Kowalska, T.; Szczepanska, K., 1971: Studies on the selectivity of action of preparations containing fenitrothion and dichlorvos on the natural enemies of the beetroot aphid Aphis fabae Scop. Biuletyn Instytutu Ochrony Roslin (48): 149-162
Laboratory tests were made in Poland in 1970 to determine the effects of fenitrothion as Folithion EC 50, Owadofos plynny 50 and Owadofos pylisty 5 and of 50% dichlorvos (Nogos 50) on Coccinella septempunctata L., Chrysopa carnea Steph., C. formosa Brauer and C. phyllochroma Wesm., which prey on Aphis fabae Scop., and on Aphidius sp., which parasitises the aphid. All the preparations were highly toxic to Coccinella, giving 97.5-100% mortality of the adults.
