In 18 intersexes, the incidence of Barr bodies was 91.8% in cells of the spinal cord, 93.1% in Purkinje cells and 88.6% in pyramidal cells. Barr bodies measured approx. 0.9 mu X 1.0 mu and did not differ greatly between normal females and intersexes. Morphological characters of the nerve cell nuclei were the same in intersexes as in normal females , the sex chromatin being clearly visible.
