This is a further part of a series from Costa Rica (cf. preceding abstract, etc.). Larvae of Hypsipyla grandella (Zell.) collected from branches of Cedrela spp. and Swietenia macrophylla at Turrialba, Costa Rica, were found to be parasitised by Hexamermis albicans. Mortality due to parasitism by this nematode was highest (about 25%) during the wettest season and lowest (about 5%) at the end of the dry season. A list is given of the species of Hexamermis known to attack Lepidoptera.
