Studies on the skin test in bilharziasis in Iran

, : Studies on the skin test in bilharziasis in Iran. Bulletin de la Societe de Pathologie Exotique 66(4): 548-553

The skin test using standard Schistosoma mansoni antigen was applied to 5 groups of people in Iran. There were highly significant differences between the percentage of positive reactions of a group of known cases of Schistosoma haematobium infection (first group) and that of a non-infected group (4th group) from a non-endemic area, and between that of the first group and that of another negative (3rd) group which were probably exposed to S. bovis.
