Studies on the solubilization of quartz during weathering

, : Studies on the solubilization of quartz during weathering. Cahiers ORSTOM, Serie Pedologie 10(2): 97-122

Particles of weathered quartz from a ferrallitic soil were markedly more soluble in HNO3 + HCl + H2SO4 (solubility of 12% for particles of 2 mu diam.) than were particles of pure quartz.
