Studies on the somatic and capsular antigens of Pasteurella multocida as protection inducing factors in rabbits

, : Studies on the somatic and capsular antigens of Pasteurella multocida as protection inducing factors in rabbits. Indian Journal of Pathology & Bacteriology 15(2): 73-75

All of 16 rabbits hyperimmunised with O and K antigens of two strains of P. multocida (M4(1:A); TS8(5:A)) when challenged with virulent TS8 culture succumbed to infection, while those hyperimmunised with formalinised whole culture of P. multocida (TS8) were able to withstand challenge with homologous culture.
