Studies on the spatial pattern in forest trees. (I). Distribution of dominant and suppressed trees in even-aged forest
Kitamoto, T.; Shidei, T., 1972: Studies on the spatial pattern in forest trees. (I). Distribution of dominant and suppressed trees in even-aged forest. Bulletin of the Kyoto University Forests (43): 152-161
Describes a study, by Iwao's (1968) analytical method (based on the relation between mean crowding and mean density), of the pattern of distribution of (a) trees greater, and (b) trees less, in diameter than the mean stand diameter, made in a 30-year-old Chamaecyparis obtusa plantation, a 15-year-old 'nest-planted' Pinus thunbergii stand, and a 3-year-old Alnus hirsuta stand.
