Studies on the spread of adiaspiromycosis in Bulgaria

, : Studies on the spread of adiaspiromycosis in Bulgaria. Bulletin de la Societe de Pathologie Exotique 64(4): 458-464

Of 342 lungs from 23 spp. of small mammals examined in 4 areas of Bulgaria, 36 (from 11 spp.) showed adiaspores of Emmonsia crescens. The highest level of infection (23.4%) was found in Apodemus flavicollis and Clethrionomys glareolus. E. crescens is recorded for the first time on Neomys anomalus and Pitymys subterraneus and for the first time in Europe on A. agrarius and Rattus rattus.
