, : Studies on the spring sowing of winter type naked barleys. The heading responses of some winter naked barleys sown in spring. Research Reports of the Office of Rural Development, Crop 16: 71-77

13 recommended naked barley cultivars and 2 new lines were sown on 9 dates from 25 Feb. to 5 Apr. in experiment at Iri in 1971-3. Highest yields were obtained from the spring Wanju, but the winter Sedohadaka and Bangju also appeared promising for spring sowing. Optimum sowing date appeared to be late Feb./early Mar.
