, : Studies on the succession of micro-organisms on the plant tissue attacked by Phytophthora (1). Competition between Phytophthora capsici and several bacteria on cucumber fruit. Reports of the Tottori Mycological Institute 10: 585-590

After 7 days cucumber fruits inoculated with P. capsici are degraded by the fungus and other pathogens (mostly bacteria). A bacterium always isolated from relatively fresh lesions was not pathogenic alone but increased the growth of P. capsici in cucumber tissue.
