The results of trials of six cultivars in 1964-5 are tabulated, data on dates of emergence, flowering and maturity and on yield and quality being shown. The earliest were Saxanova and Slavia and the latest was Selenta. Yield of marketable produce was highest in Saxanova, with 137.33 q/ha in one year and 100.62 q the next, and this was one of the varieties with beans of the best length.
