In this further part of a series of sylvan reservoirs and vectors of Trypanosoma cruzi in Brazil, it is recorded that a strain of T. cruzi isolated from a Mustelid, Eira barbara barbara, trapped at Ribeirao Preto in the State of Sao Paulo was pathogenic for baby white rats and mice, in which it caused 80% mortality.
